Can I cut the Rad Mat to size?

Yep! The Rad Mat can be trimmed to suit your space. For straight cuts, use a sharp Stanley/utility knife with a straight edge as a guide. Scissors can also work well for smaller or curved cuts.

We recommend measuring carefully before cutting - once it's cut, there's no going back!



Can I use the Rad Mat as a chopping board?

The silicone surface can handle light cutting, but the blade will leave marks in the material. If you want to keep your Rad Mat looking its best, we recommend using a dedicated chopping board for food preparation.

Is the Rad Mat food safe?

Yes. The Rad Mat is made from food-safe silicone, making it suitable for use around food and in kitchen environments. Shedding of the material does not occur.

Is the Rad Mat non-slip?

The silicone construction provides grip and helps keep the mat in place during everyday use. However, it isn't designed to be permanently fixed to a surface, so movement can occur depending on the surface and what is placed on top.

Silicone sticks best to non-porous surfaces such as metal, polished stone/laminate, polished timber.

Can I use the Rad Mat underneath appliances?

Yes, the Rad Mat can be used underneath suitable appliances as a protective layer, provided the appliance manufacturer allows it and the appliance's heat, ventilation and operating requirements are not compromised.

How will my Rad Mat arrive?

To keep packaging compact and shipping costs down, Rad Mats are carefully rolled for dispatch rather than shipped flat.

Will my Rad Mat lie flat straight away?

It may take a little time. Because the Rad Mat is shipped rolled, it can retain some curl when first unpacked.

For the quickest results, simply roll the mat in the opposite direction to the way it arrived, then leave it for a while before laying it flat. A little warmth and weight from normal use will also help it settle.

I'm travelling around Australia in my van or camper. Can I order a Rad Mat while I'm on the road?

Absolutely! If you're travelling around Australia in your van, camper or caravan, you can have your Rad Mat delivered to your current location.

Just make sure you provide a secure delivery address where someone can receive the parcel. If you're staying at a caravan park, campground, accommodation or similar, check with them first to make sure they accept parcels for guests.
